Weekly Report (04.08.24 - 11.08.24)

The past week has been a remarkable one for Nyalenda Youngstars, filled with meaningful activities, crucial meetings, and significant developments. Our club continues to make strides both on and off the pitch, reflecting our commitment to excellence and social impact in the Nyalenda community.

Friendly Matches:

We hosted a series of friendly matches across various categories—U10, U14, U17, and the girls' team—demonstrating our growth and resilience:

1. Pacho United: The U14 and U17 category had an exhilarating experience playing at the stadium for the second time. The atmosphere was electric, and our young players showed remarkable improvement, soaking in the significance of this achievement.

2. Nyalenda United: We faced Nyalenda United, a formidable opponent currently holding second place in the Kisumu County leagues. Despite their strength, our teams displayed exceptional skill and determination.

3. Superstrikers: All our categories played against Superstrikers, where we outshined our opponents with incredible performances. This was a true testament to our team's growing tactical awareness and composure on the ball.

Training Sessions:

With schools closed, we’ve intensified our training schedule to five sessions a week. The focus has been on rigorous drills, enhancing our tactics, and building composure both on and off the pitch. This has already begun to bear fruit, as seen in our recent matches.

Additionally, we’re thrilled to welcome two new recruits to our coaching departmen t. Their enthusiasm and fresh perspectives are set to bring positive changes to the club, furthering our mission to nurture talent and instill discipline.

Club Management and Office Updates:

The management team has been working tirelessly to implement programs that positively impact the lives of our players and the broader Nyalenda fraternity. Notable improvements include:

  • Sports Mentorship Programs: We've introduced new mentorship initiatives designed to guide our young players in their football journey and personal development.

  • Office Enhancements:The office has undergone significant upgrades, including the successful fixing of electricity. We are now planning to install additional amenities to create a more conducive environment for our operations.

Social Impact:

Our efforts to uplift the youth have gained momentum, thanks to the unwavering dedication of our Head Coach and Youth Coordinator, Billy Agai. His relentless work in maintaining discipline has been instrumental in the club's progress. Our social workers also continue to make a substantial difference in the lives of our players, providing psychosocial support that fosters a healthy and positive environment.

Looking Ahead:

As we move forward, we are excited about the prospects of another successful week. With our recent achievements as a foundation, we aim to continue growing and making an even greater impact on the lives of the youth in Nyalenda.

Thank you to everyone involved for your dedication and hard work. Together, we are building a brighter future for our players and our community.
