Activity Report (01.07.24 - 14.07.24)

Introduction

In the month of July 2024, our football club organized various activities for different age categories, namely U10, U13, and U16. The activities included regular training sessions, participation in the "Jiboreshe Sports for Wellness" tournament, and community engagement.

Training Sessions

Magnificent Training on July 6

On July 6, we conducted an exceptional training session focused on enhancing the skills and tactics of our players. The session was intense and highly productive, preparing our teams for the upcoming tournament.

Jiboreshe Sports for Wellness Tournament

On July 7, we tested our abilities by participating in the "Jiboreshe Sports for Wellness" tournament, proudly organized in collaboration with Homeless of Kisumu (HOK) and the FIFA Foundation. The tournament featured three other teams: Starlions, KCRH team, and Manyatta B, all of which were slightly above our age category, presenting a formidable challenge.

Match Results

- Against Manyatta B: Won 4-1

- Against Starlions: Won 2-1

- Against KCRH Team: Won 2-0

Despite the age and experience disparity, our teams performed exceptionally well, demonstrating resilience, teamwork, and strategic play. Winning all our matches was a remarkable achievement and a testament to our preparation and determination.

Learning and Insights

The tournament provided our players with invaluable experience and insights into higher levels of competition. It was a fulfilling pace, as the kids not only showcased their skills but also learned a great deal from the other teams.

Post-Tournament Activities

On July 13, we conducted a calm-down exercise to help the players relax and recover from the intense competition. The session was aimed at promoting physical and mental well-being, ensuring the players remained in peak condition.

Community Engagement

On July 14, we held a light training session followed by a community engagement activity. The players marched to our community center (club house) where they participated in a cleaning exercise. This activity was not only about maintaining our facilities but also about instilling a sense of responsibility and community spirit among the players. The day concluded with refreshments, allowing everyone to relax and enjoy each other's company.

Conclusion

The past two weeks of July 2024 was of remarkable achievements and valuable experiences for our football club. From intense training sessions to triumphing in the "Jiboreshe Sports for Wellness" tournament, our players demonstrated exceptional skill, resilience, and sportsmanship. The community engagement activities further highlighted our commitment to holistic development and social responsibility. As we move forward, we carry with us the lessons learned and the pride of our accomplishments, ready to face new challenges and continue our journey of growth and excellence.
